Suite Stories is a multidisciplinary practice working at the intersection of interior architecture, olfactive design,
and curatorial thinking.
It develops environments as coherent perceptual systems — where space, scent, and narrative are composed together to shape how places are felt, remembered, and acted upon.
The work focuses on contexts where experience, positioning, and emotional impact directly influence value — including architecture, real estate, hospitality, and cultural spaces.
The Practice
Each project begins with perception.
Through a combination of spatial strategy and sensory composition, Suite Stories designs environments that influence movement, behaviour, and memory — aligning atmosphere with intent.
This includes:
— Spatial and interior strategies for high-end environments
— Bespoke scent compositions and product ranges for real estate and hospitality
— Art curation and multisensory installations
— Immersive events integrating scent, staging, and sound
From private developments to boutique hotels and exhibitions, the work operates across both permanent spaces and temporary interventions.
Frameworks & Research
The practice is underpinned by three proprietary frameworks:
— Sensory Language™ — the grammar of perception across visual, acoustic, tactile, and olfactive elements
— Scent Mapping™ — a spatial methodology for structuring scent across environments
— Sensory Futures™ — a forward-facing framework exploring adaptive and intelligent environments
These frameworks translate sensory design into strategic tools for communication, alignment, and
experience design.
They have been developed through lectures, presentations, and workshops at institutions including the Royal College of Art and Universal Studios, and continue to evolve through ongoing research and an upcoming
online course.
The Founder
Suite Stories is founded by Marie Camara.
An award-winning interior architect and designer, Marie has developed projects across high-end residential and experiential environments, combining spatial precision with a strong narrative and emotional approach.
She holds a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in Fine Art Photography, where her work explored memory, perception, and image-making. Her photographic and curatorial work has been exhibited internationally and recognised by the Salon des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Trained as an olfactive designer in Grasse, she works with scent as a material of space — composing fragrances that shape atmosphere, perception, and emotional response.
Marie is also the curator of off-RCA, a multidisciplinary platform bringing together art, scent, and spatial installation through exhibitions and immersive formats.
Alongside her practice, she develops and teaches sensory frameworks that position atmosphere as a designed and measurable dimension of experience.
Suite Stories approaches space not only as something to be seen, but as something to be sensed, interpreted, and remembered.
